Parlour - Petite & Powerful

The Parlour model is scaled down in many ways, but not in sound. Often it's said that these guitars sound "really loud despite their small body". It's probably better to accept that smaller instruments, on the whole are simply louder and project extremely well. Think of the violin, for example, or the tin whistle. A short scale length leads to a reduction in string tension which, coupled to the smaller body, enable me to build the instrument a lot lighter than the larger models. The resulting sound is lovely, warm and balanced, with sweet trebles. The smaller stature also makes this guitar extremely comfortable to play.

This guitar is made entirely from non-tropical timbers; European spruce top & braces, Black Walnut back & sides, 3500 year old Bog Oak fingerboard & bridge, and ash neck & bindings.
